A severed head reveals the dark crimes of a broken system in the Hong Kong suspense thriller G Affairs. Lee Cheuk Pan presents a bleak & scathing vision of contemporary Hong Kong in his directorial debut, which was nominated in six categories at the 38th Hong Kong Film Awards & selected as a Recommended Film by the Hong Kong Film Critics Society. Stylistically lensed & edited, G Affairs not only deconstructs a gruesome murder mystery, it also deconstructs the immorality, abuses & disillusions of a society that has failed its youth.
Yu Ting (Hanna Chan, Paradox) is a top high school student who sees the world with cynical eyes. She has nothing good to say about her father Lung (Chapman To), a violent & corrupt cop. After her mother passes away, her father brings home his prostitute girlfriend Xiaomei (Huang Lu). At school, Yu Ting strikes up a relationship with her teacher Markus (Alan Luk) while stringing along two other admirers, autistic classmate Don (Kyle Li) & bullied cellist Tai (Lam Sen). As the chapters of the film unfold, each persons connection to the murder case is gradually revealed.
