Andy Lau is Aaron, a rich, successful businessman who falls off a boat, & drifts ashore an island located in Hong Kongs rural outskirts. Hes mistaken for an illegal immigrant, & is taken in by a family who runs a small grocery store. The owner (Deannie Ip) is a bit unscrupulous, but Aaron falls in love with her daughter Yvonne (Sharla Cheung), who just so happens to work at his company. Discovering rest & enjoyment in his new pauper lifestyle, the former rich playboy hides his identity & goes about trying to win Yvonnes heart. But Yvonne desires to leave her poor life, & Aarons company is threatened by a hostile takeover! Can the pauper return to being a prince & win the heart of his chosen princess?
