The Hong Kong police are baffled by a series of bizarre murders that leaves its victim dead with a smiling face. Angela (Michelle Chen) is charged with solving the case, but her subordinates are overzealous, troublemaking detective Wang Buer (Wen Zhang) & lazy veteran Huang Feihong (Jet Li). Together, they stumble from various clues & multiple suspects, including up-&-coming actress Jinshui & her seductress half-sister Yiyi. Are the two sisters the culprits behind the murders, or will Buer & Feihong discover more sinister villains lurking in the shadows?
