Make sure that the solar panel is placed in a sunny area, as charge time is around 6-8 hours. The motion sensor inside the light detects the light level; it is ready to activate automatically at dusk, & deactivate at dawn. Depending on the setting you choose, the light will either illuminate constantly from dusk onwards, or will illuminate when movement is detected nearby.
