Product Description

Limited Edition 1500. 22cm. made from finest cotton velvet, white surface washable stuffed with wood shavings & kapok, with glass eyes with "" Button-in-Ear"" featuring elephant motif made from patinated steel Since his introduction in 1902, the popularity of Peter Rabbit has never waned. Although he appeared in just six books by Beatrix Potter (the last published nearly a hundred years ago), this is one character that has endured the test of time. Indeed, he continues to be more popular today than ever! In 1904, Steiff produced an exquisite version of Peter Rabbit made in luxurious cotton velvet & stuffed with kapok & wood shavings. In 2010, we are bringing this piece back to life with a breathtaking replica that is nothing less than a work of art. With his sparkling glass eyes, embroidered felt jacket, & specially made slippers (stamped with a vintage Steiff logo on bottom), this is the ultimate Peter Rabbit. BEATRIX POTTER
