On the palate, the wine is divine with fruity flavours of plums & cherries. It is elegant & smooth with a good structure. The finish is long with touches of fresh red fruit. The path to international success for this region has not been easy. A big turning point was the establishment of EVENA (Estacin de Viticulture y Enologa de Navarra (Navarra Viticulture & Oenological Research Station), who helped introduce more up-to-date winemaking methods in the DO wineries & hence improve all aspects of viticulture & vinification.
