Located within the Wairarapa Valley of Martinborough, the region is cooler & drier than any other on the North Isl&, & like Marlborough across the Cook Strait, it is exposed to cold winds that funnel in from the southern ocean. A blend of three white varietals, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris & Muller Thurgau, produce a straw coloured wine with aromas of vanilla, apricots & spices, as well as floral & herbal notes. Full bodied on the palate, with a creamy texture, the wine is well structued with hints of honey & toasty oak.
