Located within the Wairarapa Valley of Martinborough, the region is cooler & drier than any other on the North Isl&, & like Marlborough across the Cook Strait, it is exposed to cold winds that funnel in from the southern ocean. Vibrant black fruits on the nose are followed with hints of white pepper & nutmeg. Aged in both old & new French oak barriques the wine displays soft tannins & good acidity. Hints of herbs, dark fruits & black olives combine with excellent depth & a complex combination of fruit & spice.
