Shimano XTR M985 10 Speed Hollowtech II Double Chainset: The veritable heart of the new XTR Trail drivetrain is a trail-tuned double-ring chainset. True double MTB chainset with 48.8mm chainline, ideally suited for XC racing combined with the 11-36T XTR cassette Class-leading XTR 10-speed Dyna-Sys chainset, integrating the bottom bracket & chainset into a strong, rigid, yet lightweight unit. The integrated design makes installation & adjustments easier than ever with precision bottom bracket bearings spaced further apart, therefore giving a more stable & long lasting BB (than conventional bottom brackets). The chainset has super-lightweight Hollow Tech II forged Duralumin crank arms
- hollow design saves weight whilst increasing rigidity, with the easy to use splined bottom bracket spindles connection providing a rigid & secure interface between crank & spindle. The development has resulted in stiffer, light weight & hard-wearing HG-X 7075 aluminium outer & inner chainrings with a highly durable Nickel-plate treatment. The HG-X chainring with patented spike pins give smooth & fast gear shifts under load.
