Quarq power meters use their patented direct-force technology to precisely measure your physical performance throughout your ride. Their meter is located in the crankset, the heart of the bicycle. Because it gathers data from both legs, & it's located at the precise point where muscle energy is converted to forward movement, the power meter spider is the most accurate place to gather power data. Quarq Power Meter Interfaces Quarq power meters use two different crank arm interfaces that are not cross-compatible. The 3-bolt interface is the standard SRAM interface that does not have an integrated spider. The 8-bolt interface was introduced in the Quarq power meter designs in August 2014. It aids manufacturing & serviceability. More importantly, it delivers stable & consistent zero offsets when power meter spiders are swapped between crank arms. In addition, the 10K temperature compensation feature eliminates weather as a variable. Quarq's technology gives you the data in real-time & a solid record of your performance for review later on. Quarq power meters offer easy, verified zeroing & the Qalvin app means that you can set the zero offset, check batteries & run diagnostics. Power Balance™ captures left & right drive strokes. Omni Cal™ gives you a choice of chainrings with no compromise on accuracy. Both cranks & spider made from aluminium with the spider unit machined in-house from raw blocks of high-strength aluminium.
