Fellowes P-48C Cross Cut Shredder With Patented Safety Lock

The P-48C also features a thermal overload protector
which stops the shredder temporarily when it senses it is getting too hot. Once activated the shredder will shut down and a red light will advise you that this safety protector has activated. Built within the safety lock switch is a sheet capacity gauge which is measured to the cutter tolerance. This helps prevent paper jams by ensuring the cutters are not overwhelmed. Should the cutters ever become overwhelmed the P-48C features an electronic reverse mode to help remove the excess paper. As well as being able to handle 8 sheets at a time the P-48C cuts each A4 sheet of paper into 320 pieces measuring just 3.9x50mm (DIN Level 3) virtually an impossible task to piece back together. the P-48C with a strong and robust motor that can shred non-stop for up to 5 minutes. This enables the P-48C to shred up to 486 sheets of A4 paper per cycle. As well as shredding huge quantities of paper the Cutting blades of the P-48C can also shred staples credit cards and paperclips with ease. The P-48C features an easy lift head ensuring that waste disposal is as easy as possible with no strain on the user. Should you lift the shredder head whilst the shredder is running a built-in safety mechanism activates and automatically shuts down the cutters until the head has been replaced securely back on the bin.
