The rainwater filter diverter can be installed in 2 ways, either using the diverter outlet which is the smaller of the 2 outlets on the bottom of the GMFD, if you use the diverter outlet you can use the automatic cut off feature of the Gutter Mate filter Diverter when the tank is full.  If you want to collect all the rainwater coming down the downpipe you should use the main outlet on the bottom of the GMFD. If you use the main outlet you will need to provide a separate overflow out of the tank when the tank is full.  You should always allow a small air space in the top of the tank when full to allow for expansion of the water in summer of around 50mm. Just follow the instructions which come with the Diverter.
