From the very good 1987 vintage, this lovely red wine takes its name from a small orange flower which is very common in Chianti. Anagallis is currently produced with Sangiovese (80%) Colorino (5%) & Merlot (15%) grapes grown in the le Piagge, la Ripa & Vignacatena vineyards which enjoy southerly & easterly exposure, situated at altitudes between 290 & 330 metres above sea level. The wine is a deep ruby red & is ethereal, pervasive & complex with a bottom note of vanilla. It is full, harmonious & slightly tannic, with along finish. Drink now
