An interesting perennial plant with flowers that resemble orchids, these are a form of hardy ginger from the Himalayas, with strappy leaves & several flowers per plant. Plant at least 6 inches deep to avoid frost damage & by May the plants will burst into life, flowering by September. Purpurea features violet blooms, humeana lutea bears creamy-yellow flowers & beesiana flowers are cream-white with variable levels of violet markings. Ht. 50cm. Supplied as corms.
