Rodgersia aesculifolia bears small star-shaped pink flowers in large conical panicles in summer, above 2ft stems emerging from its Horse Chestnut-like leaves. This tough perennial plant originated in northern China & is perfectly suited to the edge of garden ponds & damp, waterlogged borders. It looks particularly good when planted next to Hostas & Ferns.
