This herbaceous perennial naturally grows in shallow water, making it a fantastic addition to bog gardens or pond margins where it can be submerged up to 25cm &40;10&34;&41;. Flowering rush produces grassy green leaves which are followed by tall upright stems bearing umbels of pretty pink flowers in late summer. The deliciously fragrant blooms produce an almond&45;like scent & are attractive to bees & other pollinating insects. Butomus umbellatus is also a valuable egg&45;laying site for dragonflies in the UK.
