Hostas offer a delightful range of foliage shapes, colours, sizes & flowers. These popular perennials are shade tolerant, perfectly resilient & make wonderful displays in any garden bed or container. Once established, they can be divided for larger displays or even to share with your friends. This lucky dip mix will include a selection of varieties from: Hosta Minuteman &45; cupped, blue&45;green leaves with a wide, white margin. Hosta Blue Angel &45; the largest of the blue leaf hostas. Hosta Francee &45; deeply ribbed foliage edged in jagged, cream margins. Hosta Fire & Ice &45; A spectacular Hosta with superb reverse variegation. Each leaf has a pristine white centre with a deep green, wavy margin. Hosta Sum & Substance &45; large, heart shaped yellow foliage up to 50cm &40;20&34;&41; long. Hosta Twilight &45; A wide&45;leafed form with rich yellow margins, that seemingly glow in the evening light. Supplied as plug plants. Please note: Varieties included may differ from those illustrated. Culinary information: The best part to use is the hoston, the rolled up leaf as it emerges in the spring. Cooking depends on the size of the hostons, small ones can be fried for a few minutes, going well in stir fries. Thicker ones are better boiled & used as a vegetable.
