Helenium Ruby Tuesday gets its name from the daisy&45;like flowers it produces between July & September. Copper&45;red, fluted petals surround a saffron yellow & ruby centre, introducing the beautiful colours of autumn to gardens in the late summer. This sneezeweed works best in borders alongside ornamental grasses, particularly in prairie planting schemes but it is also compact enough to be grown in a moist container with plenty of sunlight. Wherever its planted, bees & other pollinating insects are drawn to the late summer flowers. Like all hardy perennials, Helenium Ruby Tuesday, which is also known as Ruby Thuesday & Helens Flower, should be cut back after flowering, although the blooms can also be cut earlier to feature in indoor displays.
