Clematis ' General Sikorski' was named by its Polish breeder after the famous General & Prime Minister of Poland in exile, during WWII, who was killed in an RAF plane crash, after taking off from Gibraltar in 1943. It has large lavender violet flowers with yellow anthers, that flower profusely between June & September. With dark green foliage & twining stems, it is perfect for growing up wall trellis, or in obelisk planters on patios & decking. An RHS Award of Garden Merit variety.
