Mexican Orange Blossom is a popular shrub grown for its evergreen foliage, scented blooms & tolerance of difficult growing conditions, including coastal gardens. Choisya ternata Sundance bears glossy, evergreen, bright yellow leaves, above which fragrant white flowers are borne in late spring, & again in late summer & autumn. This neat & compact shrub is a fantastic low&45;maintenance addition to borders, where the yellow foliage contrasts well with darker foliage. This RHS AGM variety can also be clipped into a low hedge or grown in a large patio container as a specimen shrub. Height & spread: 2.5m &40;8&41;. Supplied in 9cm pots. Gradually acclimatise Choisya plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before planting into their final positions in any well drained soil in full sun, with shelter from strong winds. Partial shade is tolerated but foliage will be less golden in this situation. Plant Choisya ternata Sundance at its original soil level & firm well before watering to settle the soil. Alternatively grow Choisya in patio containers filled with loam&45;based compost such as John Innes No.3. Water regularly throughout the growing season until Choisya plants are well established. Mexican Orange Blossom requires little attention, but benefits from a trim each year to keep it neat & tidy. After flowering, trim or lightly cut back shoots to a healthy pair of buds. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant in spring. We will do our best to ship your plants or bulbs to you at the ideal time for planting as stated against each product. We recommend that you prepare your soil, planting beds or patio containers ahead of time so you are ready to plant out, or pot on, just as soon as your order arrives. You will find the name of the variety printed on the top line of the address label on your package. Please ensure that you open the packaging immediately & carefully read through the instruction leaflet provided. For greatest success, please pot on or plant out as soon as possible, following the cultural instructions enclosed with your order. ...
