This ornamental Dead Nettle adds a splash of silver to brighten up dreary baskets or accent summer planting schemes. Lamium ‘Mega Purple’ loves those tricky shady spots where other plants refuse to grow. The colourful foliage and pretty summer flowers make eye catching ground cover as the plants mature and spread. This useful and easy-to-grow hardy perennial is tough and resilient, returning year after year. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 45cm (18"). Supplied as plug plants.

Pot up Lamium plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When Dead Nettle plants are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Plant Lamium in semi or dappled shade. Dead Nettles prefer a well drained, moist, fertile soil, but can cope well in drier soils once established. On drier soils, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or compost prior to planting and choose a shaded position.

Water Lamium plants regularly throughout summer until fully established. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Dead Nettle in spring to maintain their vigour.

Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
