Product Description

The Railway Children at Waterloo Station, London With a Real Steam Train

The Railway Children tells the unforgettable story of three siblings, Bobbie, Peter & Phyllis who go to live in the country after their dad is taken away in mysterious circumstances. When boredom kicks in, the children become fascinated by the local railway & station, visiting almost daily, making friends with the porter named Perks. With many dramas along the way, including the famous red petticoat scene where Phyllis tries to stop disaster, The Railway Children has been a firm favourite for generations.

Adapted for stage by Mike Kenny, the new production comes to life at Waterloo Station where the former Eurostar Terminal has been transformed into a unique theatre space, with the audience seated either side of the railway track. The play has already enjoyed two sell out summer runs at the National Railway Museum in York & a triumphant run at the Waterloo Station Theatre in 2010.
