A Huang Shan Mao Feng taken only from the bud & first adjacent leaf This exceptional green tea grows in the famous tea town of Huang Shan in eastern China. ‘ Huang Shan’ translates as Yellow Mountain whilst ‘ Mao Feng’ means ‘downy tip’– in reference to the appearance of the tiny whole leaves of tea. After the tea is selected, the delicate bud & leaf are gently h&-rolled into a curve the tea pickers call ‘sparrow’s tongue’. This delicious tea is best suited for sitting back & enjoying several small cups of exquisite refreshment. It is said the first cup from the pot is the most fragrant, the second the sweetest & the third the strongest. With such wonderful character, it’s clear to see why it’s so renowned. Well-balanced & with hints of magnolia, this tea’s liquor is bright, clear & pale green. Among the very best green teas, it is extremely refined & remarkably smooth: a thirst-quenching delight with gently exotic fruit notes. This blend is best enjoyed without additions.
