If you combine all the riding knowledge of Gigi Ruf with the most innovative & up to date design concepts & manufacturing techniques in snowboarding, you're going to end up with something very special indeed. Well that's basically what Slash has done with the Aurora & in doing so have created one of the most technically advanced snowboards ever seen.

Aimed at experienced riders who are looking for the ultimate in control, response & freestyle performance this totally stunning board pushes the boundaries to a whole new level. Built around a directional twin chassis it gives a balanced overall feel ensuring that once you get this thing in the air you'll have all the control you'll ever need. However, thanks to that extra bit of volume in the nose, the 15mm set back stance & the Ultimate Traction edge profile, the Aurora doesn't feel held back when you want to get out into the mountains, in fact, if anything it absolutely comes alive.

Although the Aurora looks very futuristic there's a reason why it looks that way, & once you start to look at its construction all becomes clear. Heading this up is the state of the art Lightweight Core, this is crafted from hand selected paulownia & bamboo with additional strips of ash along the inserts & edges to bolster strength & edge hold. The core then undergoes an advanced 3D milling process which controls flex through the length & creates two independent flex zones under the front & rear inserts.

This is then matched perfectly to the Dual Camber profile which places two independent cambers under the feet & the Red Line Sidecut which splits the sidecut into two separate zones at the front & rear. This unique combination works like a gas pedal under each foot increasing speed, Ollie power as well as giving the rider total control.

Now add to this structural layers formed from Non Crimp carbon fibre on the upper band & Tri-Ax glass on the lower band & you get all the power, pop & response that you could ever need.

Finally the NHS Race Base delivers a truly mind bending turn of speed & finishes off this tour de force of snowboard innovation.
