The Eclipse Hooded Zip Tee. Due to the use of two types Pontetorto Technostretch Fleece, M.E. has manufactured this garment with a flexible & active fit. They have used Pontetorto Techno Stretch Fleece in the main body, arms & upper hood to provide greater warmth where it’s needed, then a lighter-weight Technostretch Fleece is used to panel key areas such as under arms, collar & hem; basically the places where you don’t want too much bulk. The Hood will fit under your helmet & when you zip up you get full face coverage; great for those cold winter days. The off-set zip is a key feature if this lightweight midlayer/heavyweight baselayer. Not only does it stop you from catching your whiskers in the zips teeth, which is annoyingly painful, but as the zip runs at a different direction to other layers it reduces cold spots that you normally get from zips that are all lined up. The thumb loops are of a good size as sometimes thumb loops can be a bit snug, but these are lovely & comfortable. The longer length cut avoids skin exposure when reaching up high for a hold & the Polygiene anti-microbial technology helps keep the garment smelling fresh during prolonged use. I would use this piece when climbing or fast moving winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding or even hiking.
