Gorge walking, or Canyoning as it is known in other parts of the world is a surprisingly satisfying activity! Making your way up (or down) a narrow, deep cleft carved in the side of a mountain by the deceptively small stream through which you are wading, or swimming. Climbing up raging torrents, secured by your instructor's rope, jumping into deep pools & abseiling down waterfalls can all be part of the fun. A well earned lunch can sometimes be had sitting in the dappled sunlight on a sun warmed slab of rock, by a deep pool with the sound of flowing water & the distant roar of the wind outside this sheltered place. After lunch (Full Day only) perhaps you can try to traverse that pool, but remember even the instructors fall in sometimes!
