The Rally Challenge gives you the chance to experience front, rear & 4wd rally cars on a demanding special gravel stage. Throughout the challenge, you will be taught the techniques & skills required to get the most from the three rally cars, whilst putting each one through its paces on the days' stages. The cars that you will be driving include the Escort RS2000, Peugeot 206 Super Cup & the Subaru Impreza. Learning to drive these top rally cars on a loose gravel surface is one of the most exhilarating driving experiences you can have! You will also experience the ride of your life when your instructor takes you on a white knuckle passenger ride. Just imagine hurtling down a narrow dirt track, approaching 70 mph & with a flick of the steering wheel, the instructor dabs the brakes with his left foot! The car is pitched sharp to the right & then to the left through the chicane.  This is perhaps your first introduction to rally driving. Your half day rally experience will start with Andy Gwynne, our senior instructor, an ex National Rally Super 1600 Champion, giving you an introduction into the sport, explaining the techniques & safety procedures of rally driving. You will then be introduced to your instructor for your rally session.  After being strapped into the car, you will take to the rally stage to learn car control & how to get the best out of your vehicle. When you drive in the Subaru Impreza STi or Mitsubishi Evo 8 around the tarmac track, the feeling is breathtaking. This is matched by the awesome handling & the incredible agility that both these cars offer. These are two of the world's most successful rally cars ever! The Subaru Impreza has an amazing turbo engine & four wheel drive this World class rally thoroughbred can hit 0-62 mph in 5.7 seconds with a top speed of 158 mph. It simply has to be driven to be believed! On the other hand is the Mitsubishi Evo. With a 2 litre turbo charged engine, this mean machine will power from 0-60 mph in an astonishing 3.5 seconds hitting a top speed of 170 mph. When you have completed your laps in either the Subaru Impreza or Mitsubishi Evo you will move onto a session on the specially designed rally stage in a Renault Clio. Here you will be able to master some handbrake turns & other rally driving techniques. Next it's on to a high speed passenger ride with your instructor before receiving a short debrief & your driver analysis form.  At the end of your rally driving experience, you will receive a certificate to remember your day. Taking the next step up from the Rally Driving (Half Day) Experience, we bring to you the Full Day version. Once again this rally experience is exclusively for kids aged from 11 to 17 years old. You will start off learning the basics in a Ford KA, including use of the accelerator & clutch control along with the steering & braking techniques. All this will be on our authentic rally stage. Once you've got the hang of the rally stage & the various driving techniques, we'll take you on a further driving session around the full stage, integrating your newly learnt techniques. Once you have gained the full confidence & your co-ordination has enhanced, we will teach you the new rally technique of handbrake turns to the right, before topping off the morning with some power slides in either a donut or figure of eight style according to your own individual ability. After a break for Lunch, we will head to the classroom to build up your rally driving knowledge. Then it's off to drive around the full special rally stage as the instructor monitors & encourages you to build up the confidence & speed. Next you will test out your new found rally skills on our authentic 'arrowed' route, which features fast & slow bends, straights & different surfaces. For those who progress well, we will further practice some hard braking techniques & a different type of powerslide! ...
