The optional environmental monitoring probe (EMP) is a connectivity device that enables you to collect temperature & humidity readings in the rack environment & monitor the environmental data remotely via the onboard LCD screen or remotely using a Telnet connection or a standard web browser. You can also collect & retrieve the status of two contact devices.\n\n- When temperature & humidity values exceed user-selectable limits, the event is logged in the e PDU event history log.\n- The EMP monitors temperature & humidity information of any environment that you want to protect your critical equipment. The EMP measures temperatures from 32&176;F to 158&176;F (0&176;C to 70&176;C) with an accuracy of &177;3.6&176;F (&177;2&176;C).\n- The EMP measures relative humidity from 10% to 90% with an accuracy of &177;5%.\n- It can be located away from the e PDU with a CAT5 network cable up to 65.6 ft (20 m) long.\n- The hot-swap feature simplifies installation by enabling you to install the probe safely without turning off power to the e PDU or to the loads that are connected to it.\n- The EMP monitors the status of the two user-provided contact devices.\n- Temperature, humidity, & contact closure status can be displayed through a web browser, a serial interface, or an onboard LCD interface.\n- User-selectable alarm thresholds enable you to define acceptable temperature or humidity limits.\n- Email notification through Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), using email client software when acceptable alarm limits are exceeded or contact status changes.\n- Changes in external contact status are logged in the e PDU event history log.\n\n\n\n Product ID: EMP001\n\n\n\n\n\n Model: EMP001\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
