Volume 3, 800 ml, height 13.5 cm, diameter 28 cm. For over 1, 000 years the manufacture of porcelain was a purely Chinese industry. Only in 1708 was the secret of its manufacture discovered in Meissen. The process was later refined in England by adding a 52% proportion of burned bone ash to the base mix of the usual ingredients feldspar, quarz & kaolin. The result is a particularly hard, white & translucent porcelain. Its low propensity to chipping means Bone China can be made particularly thin, which gives it a very elegant appearance. Our Bone China is characterised by particularly clear, simple lines & shape.
