Scissor sharpening is best left to the experts as depending on the br&, your blades can be flat, convex or concave & specialist techniques are required to maintain the original shape. Our expert technicians are highly skilled & will ensure your scissors are returned in perfect working order with the original blade shape fully intact. All sharpening is performed using the finest grade diamond paper. Common Issues:- • Blades don't feel smooth when opening or closing & may feel like they are chipped • Teeth on thinning scissors are catching• Scissors have been dropped/knocked & are out of alignment • Blades feel dull especially at the tips resulting in hair being "pushed" along the blade instead of being cut• Blades are catching along the mid-section of the blade particularly when slide cutting• Blade tips are catching/pulling hair • Rubber stoppers/hit points have worn out/fallen out resulting in a loud clicking noise which makes the blade tips cross over• Screws keep loosening whilst in use• Build-up of hair around the screw & rust along the blade compromising cut quality Included in the Service: • Full pre service inspection• Scissor taken apart & fully cleaned removing any debris• Nicks & burrs removed from both sides of the blades using high grade specialist oil stones • Checks on balance, centre screw & finger rest where applicable• Genuine replacement parts fitted where necessary (this may incur additional cost but you will be consulted first before any part is replaced)• Blades fully re-aligned • Full clean, polish & oil• Blade tips finished on a specialist micro stone Wet & dry cut check. This sharpening service also excludes Matteck Matsuzaki scissors unless they are older than three years old so as not to invalidate the product warranty.
