Matteck Matsuzaki have designed an absolutely outstanding swivel scissor with the MWQ 500. The thumb ring revolves through 360° in a transverse & vertical direction, meaning that you can use them for any technique–slide cutting, chopping, vertical slicing–without putting any strain on your hands & wrists, virtually eliminating the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome. In addition, the crane handle with its curved finger rest is ergonomically designed to ensure that the way you grip the scissors is as comfortable as possible & the ball bearing pivot joint means that the action is buttery smooth. Outstandingly sharp convex cobalt blades with hollow ground inner edges make light work of all hair types & the high-grade materials used in these hand made scissors means that they will keep their incredible feel year after year. The MWQ is supplied with three sizes of thumb rings: the small & medium attachments have trans-directional pivots, while the larger size is a traditional swivel pivot thumb ring which rotates on a single axis (see images below).
