Most guest beds are made from pine or rubber wood which is often made to look like oak. Our Atlantis Oak is made from the real thing, solid American Oak with a protective coat of lacquer which accentuates the beautiful natural grain. The classic shaker style design is very versatile & can be used in a number of different configurations. The under bed is mounted on easy glide castors which means that it can be smoothly pulled out when needed. The underbed legs are spring assisted which mean that the bed simply pops up & can then be used as two single beds or pushed together to create a larger sleeping surface. The beds come complete with wooden slatted bases. Please note when purchasing mattresses for the Atlantis Oak wooden guest bed, the under bed mattress depth should be no higher than 17cm in order for it to stow away neatly when not in use.
