Waldsteinia ternata is a shade loving, perennial, groundcover plant. It has a dense mat of weed suppressing violet-green foliage, that is quite similar to strawberry leaves. In early spring small, yellow buttercup type flowers emerge that last until late summer. In mild winters the plant can be evergreen & in summer it has good drought tolerance. Siberian Waldsteinia is a steady spreader & does not grow out of control. It is an ideal space filler for hard to reach areas such as gaps between a greenhouse or shed & a fence, on steep banks, or in a shady border at the bottom of the garden.
Height: 10cm (4). Spread: 100cm (39).
