Hyssopus officinalis is an attractive low growing, evergreen, flowering hedge. Hyssop is native to the south of Europe, Middle East & Caspian Sea & looks similar to Lavender. It has electric blue flowers that look great when planted in long rows alongside garden paths or driveways, or as a low hedge in vegetable gardens. The plant has a long flowering period & flowers from summer until autumn. The leaves of Hyssop are aromatic & produce a lovely smell, that can fill the summer evening air. Ideally, Hyssop should be planted in a sunny position, but partial shade is fine as well.
