Pear ' Doyenne du Comice' is widely regarded as one of the tastiest varieties available, with a richness that many other cultivars can?t match. Its sweet fruits have a high quality, melt-in-the-mouth texture. When grafted into the ? Quince A? rootstock, Pear ' Doyenne du Comice' is a tree with moderate vigour, & fruits at an early age. Strong-growing, these trees are partially self-fertile, but are ideal for planting with other varieties (such as ? Williams Bon Chretien?) to aid pollination & increase yields.
