This lovely white Lavender makes a change from the more traditional violet varieties. The pure white flower spikes of Lavender x intermedia ' Edelweiss' appear in July & August above the aromatic evergreen leaves, attracting bees to the nectar-rich blooms. The delicious fragrance is a favourite with humans too, & these scented blooms on tall thin stems work well as cut flowers in a flower arrangement & are excellent for drying too. This shrub, also known as Lavandin, is perfect in a sunny border or wildlife garden & can even be grown as a low hedge.
