One of the ' Endless Summer' series, Hydrangea macrophylla ' The Original', produces a profusion of large flowerheads on old wood & new shoots from May until September. The colour of the flowers all depends on the p H level of your garden soil. They can be violet-blue or rose pink. In autumn the foliage changes to red & gold, & the flowerheads remain on the shrub past the first morning frosts. This Hydrangea has a neat & compact growing habit, making it perfect for borders in small & medium sized gardens. They also look wonderful planted in large containers that are placed on patios & decking areas, as they add colour & structure. Hydrangeas are extremely low maintenance & have good disease resistance, especially to mildew.
