Clematis ' Stasik'

During the height of the Cold War, in 1972, a Russian lady in Moscow created a clematis & named it after her grandson ' Stasik', short for Stanislav. Today this Clematis cultivar is found across Europe, in gardens, east & west. It has magenta flowers that bloom in mid-summer & continue through until autumn, providing late season colour in the garden. It can be planted to grow up trellis on garden walls & fences, or in obelisk planters which can be placed on patios or decking.
