The clayey calcareous soil gives the wine a deep red-black colour & an intense bouquet of red fruits, musk & game meat as soon the wine reaches a certain level of maturity.
The fermentation takes place in tanks during 3-4 weeks, after which they are aged in barrel for 12
- 15 months before being bottled.
The best time for drinking it is after 5 years up to 10 years after bottling.
