This classic blend displays a festival of red fruit & spice aromas. The palate is bursting with rich black plum, cassis & spice. Long & smooth on the finish with supple tannins. 95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes were harvested, fermented & matured in individual batches to capture the distinctiveness of each parcel. Fully destemmed grapes were fermented on skins & after extended maceration, each parcel was pressed & transferred to French & American oak barriques. Maturation for 15 months evolved the wines' character & flavour while softening the tannins. Each batch was assessed to optimise the expression of varietal personality & site characteristics in the final blend. Predominantly Merlot, the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon has added structure & backbone.
