This wine is a blend of Shiraz from low yielding vineyards in the Heathcote Region that have their origin in three centuries, a component from a 19th century vineyard, through to vineyards planted in the 20th & now 21st centuries.
Each vineyard component has its own distinct flavours & as they are of varying ages these differences add complexity & character.
Colour: Deep crimson red.
Nose: Plum & mulberry, & some elegant toasty oak.
Palate: Sweet, mouthfilling creamy-berry flavours flow through to a fine to medium weight palate. A flavoursome Shiraz with the depth of fruit one would expect from the Heathcote Region, having the balance to enjoy now or it will benefit from maturation.
More elegant & smooth than many powerful, alcoholic Australian shiraz.
