Codewords appeal to the inner sleuth in every keen puzzler, so get ready to break the codes in this super collection of more
...Codebreakers require inspired guesswork, they are crosswords without clues. Every letter of the alphabet is used (you may find it useful to put the letter in the grid as you find it) & each letter has its own number. For example if the letter Y in the grid is the number 5, then every number 5 is a Y in the puzzle so insert this in all the boxes with a number 5. From then on it's a matter of skill, a knowledge of the language & make-up of words & perhaps just a little luck? Vowels nearly always appear at least once in a word but letters such as X & Z are few & far between. It's also worth remembering that a Q is very often followed by a U. However, Codebreakers with only one letter supplied can be very difficult so, if you wish, you may refer to the page immediately following puzzle 66 & add a second or third letter to the reference grid.
