What is an Angel? Angels are divine messengers & personal guardians. One of the most common questions people who have not yet had an angel encounter ask is: ï ½what do angels look like?ï ½ Another question that is very often asked is: ï ½ Are angels male or female?ï ½ Angels throughout history & art have frequently been depicted as beautiful women with magnificent wings, dressed in flowing robes & in biblical references they frequently take on a male guise. But angels are neither women nor men. They do not have a gender. They are different from people, even if they are sometimes seen in human form.
