- This is a new crystal-clear fruit brandy from the Normandy distillery 30&40. It is a combination of two apple-based spirits, pommeau (made using a single column still) & Calvados (double distilled) plus rum which has then been aged for two years. It tastes great neat, poured over ice, with tonic water or in a cocktail. & if you are wondering what 30&40 refers to – it’s a game of chance which used to be played in Normandy's casinos.
