- A blend of Islay single malts created to celebrate the 'peatreekers': the men & woman who created whisky using illegal stills in 18th century Scotl&. Driven to underground distilling due to the introduction of the 1725 Malt Tax, these whisky-makers waged an endless battle with the excisemen & earned the name peatreekers due to the smell of peat that clung permanently to their clothes.
