- This is blend of Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo & Merlot, whose name means "the die is cast", after Julius Caesar’s crossing of the Rubicon. This wine needs a bit of time to breathe & open up in the glass before it gives off its delightful perfumed notes of hedgerow fruits, summer pudding & rose petals. The palate is light & crunchy with maraschino cherry & porcini mushrooms.
