70cl / 50.6% / Douglas Laing - A 1994 Braes of Glenlivet single malt from indie bottler Douglas Laing, bottled in December 2019 as part of its Xtra Old Particular series, after a quarter of a century in a single refill barrel. Sweet aromas of oranges and lemons sit over a layer of sweet barley and creamy vanilla on the nose. The palate offers notes of mocha, vanilla pods and candyfloss, with baking spices, barley sugar and butterscotch lingering in the finish.
