- Valtellina is a region that has been overlooked for too long but for those in the know the wines are a joy to drink. The grape is Nebbiolo called Chiavennasca in this region. This is from one of the top areas in the regions & it is from a single vineyard called Gess. On the nose stunning tar & roses with hints of liquorice & caraway seeds. The palate is beautifully put together with hints of pepper, blackcurrant, raspberry & menthol. Try pairing this with duck or game.
