Oban Cask Strength Limited Edition
A limited release bottling normally only available at the distillery and bottled at full strength. Double matured in Pedro Montilla Fino-treated American oak casks. Bottled 2010. Oban Oban Distillery was established in 1794 and is one of the oldest working malt whisky distilleries in Scotland. Oban Distillery is situated in the centre of the town of Oban on Scotland west coast. The distillery is equipped with just two stills is one of the very few distilleries to operate with traditional worm tubs. Visitors are welcome at the Oban Distillery visitor centre where tours of the distillery are available. Sweeter than usual on the palate, rich fruit flavours are nonetheless complemented by a typical briny character. The finish is long.
