A mix of various ages & cask types (bourbon, sherry, port & rum) to showcases the full range of Longrow characteristics. This is a well balanced smoky single malt. Longrow (Springbank) Springbank Distillery is the oldest, independent & family owned malt whisky distillery in Scotland having been founded in 1828 in Campbeltown at the foot of the Mull of Kintyre on the west coast of Scotl&. Springbank produces three different types of malt whisky one of which is Longrow which was first produced in 1973 & is highly peated & double distilled. The barley is spread across Springbank’s own traditional malting floors where it germinates & is then dried on the perforated floor of the kiln by hot peat smoke for 48 hours. The name is in memory of Longrow Distillery which sat adjacent to Springbank Distillery & is now one of Campbeltown’s many lost distilleries. Longrow Distillery operated from 1824 until 1896. No tasting notes at present.
